Financial Aid
Grants and Loans
Students wishing to attend Yorktowne Business Institute may be eligible for grants and loans to finance their education. In general, career school graduates recover the cost of their educational loans by obtaining higher paying positions in the workplace.
Federal PELL Grants provide funds to eligible students wishing to enroll at post-secondary educational institutions. This award is based on financial need and does not have to be repaid.
The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant provides aid for undergraduate students who demonstrate exceptional financial need.
The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency Grants are also determined by financial need and therefore need not be repaid by the student.
The Federal Family Education Loan Program is available to students and parents who wish to borrow funds for educational costs.
The Department of Education provides a Net Price Calculator that can be used to estimate student costs. Tuition and fees, books and supplies are based on YBI charges. Since YBI does not have a "room and board" charge, "room and board" and "other expenses" appear in the Net Price Calculator as an estimate of what a typical student's living expenses might be during an academic year. The calculator can be found here.
